History
Printing Methods was established in 1969 by
Myron Babiuk. Mr. Babiuk incorporated the company
under the name Printing Methods in 1969 and
had operated the business as its sole shareholder and president.
Lanre Olotu, an experienced African-American lithographic print salesperson and former owner of Olotu Printing, purchased the assets of Printing Methods, and currently serves as the company's Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Olotu started his printing career at a young age in a family-run printing business, Olotu Printing Press, located in Nigeria. He served as an apprentice for two years in Nigeria upon graduation from high school and then enrolled in the London College of Printing where he obtained a certificate in Printing Techniques with distinction. He later graduated in 1984 with high honors in printing from Rochester Institute of Technology. He has held several positions during his printing career, ranging from press operator to customer service representative to estimator to sales manager, succeeding in gaining experience in a wide variety of roles.
Mr. Olotu founded Olotu Printing in 1993 and advanced quickly to a total sales volume of more than $.6 million in his first year. Printing Methods operates as a full range commercial printing firm servicing a wide range of clients based Nationally. Printing Methods client base currently consists of approximately 90 companies and individuals including Eastman Kodak, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Walt Disney and University of Rochester, and a variety of other organizations. PMI's top 10 clients account for approximately 60-70% of total annual sales.
From 1972 to date, Printing Methods has experienced significant and continuous growth. During this period, employees have increased from 7 to 70. PMI's recent acquisition of Remley, a Heat Web-Offset Company, located in Albion, New York has expanded the company's capabilities from sheet-fed to Web-fed and further expanded the company's customer base and further the company's growth.
